Homemade Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Love is in the air and we made some yummy treats for Valentine’s Day. It’s quick and easy to make and sure to impress. Watch the IGTV video see it being made!
1 pt. strawberries
2 cups semisweet or dark chocolate
2 tbsp coconut oil

Making this delicious treat is a snap, especially when all the ingredients can be found at the Co-op.
When setting up your ingredients consider where to place the melted chocolate, strawberries, and lined baking sheet. We recommend placing the strawberries on one side of the melted chocolate and the baking sheet on the other side. It will minimize clean-up time.
Feel free to be creative with your chocolate-covered strawberries. Our bulk has great ingredients that can be used as toppings.
Rinse strawberries and pat dry.
Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
For microwave: In a small bowl, combine chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until melted.
For stovetop: Put chocolate chips in heatproof bowl. Fill a medium saucepan with a few inches of water and simmer over medium heat. Turn off the heat and place the bowl of chocolate over the saucepan. Stir until smooth.
Dip strawberries in chocolate and place them on the baking sheet.
Refrigerate until chocolate is set (app. 30 min).
