What’s in Season:

Look for fall favorites like sweet potatoes, winter squash, brussels sprouts, kale, spinach, carrots, onions, beets, celery, and apples.

Why Eat Seasonally?

Eating with the seasons means enjoying produce at its peak flavor and freshness, often grown closer to home. It’s more sustainable, supports local farmers, and can even be more nutrient-rich since the food hasn’t traveled far to reach your plate.

Warming Soups

Start with a nourishing broth like vegetable, chicken, or beef, and build from there. Add your favorite protein, like shredded chicken, grass-fed beef, or hearty beans such as kidney or cannellini. Mix in seasonal veggies like kale, spinach, sweet potatoes, onions, and celery for extra flavor and nutrition.

Hearty Salads

Fall salads are all about texture and depth. Try roasted vegetables like sweet potatoes, brussels sprouts, or squash tossed with hearty greens like kale or arugula. Top it off with seasonal mix-ins—pumpkin seeds, dried cranberries, or creamy goat cheese—and finish with a simple dressing made with maple syrup, mustard, and olive oil for a perfect balance of sweet and tangy.
